DATE POSTED:February 24, 2025

BVGroup has moved its bingo operations to Playtech’s network. The partnership means Playtech has become an official bingo provider for all of BVGroup’s brands, such as Heart Bingo and BetVictor. It is the latest move from Playtech as the company bids to grow its standing in regulated industries.

The deal includes Playtech’s networked bingo games and side options from the provider’s Eyecon studio. The two parties announced a long-term partnership, which will result in shared liquidity between many operators.

Speaking on the news, Playtech VP of Interactive Gaming, Marat Koss, stated: “We are excited to welcome BVGroup to the Playtech Bingo network. This is a strategic move for BVGroup to transition their Bingo product to Playtech’s new Bingo platform.”

Playtech continues to make moves in the bingo market

Playtech has recently entered the bingo markets in Finland and the Netherlands. The developer partnered with Nederlandse Loterij in January 2025, delivering 20+ rooms to Dutch players. Playtech had previously revealed a deal with Veikkaus for live casino games in Finland.

The provider has an excellent reputation for its bingo games, including Fluffy Favourites. Dayle Fenton, BVGroup’s Head of Casino, is equally excited, saying:

“We are excited to strengthen our partnership with Playtech and leverage its Bingo platform. Playtech’s extensive network and expertise will enhance our offering, allowing us to provide an even more engaging experience to our players.”

The latest announcement from Playtech in 2025

It has been a busy period for Playtech, with multiple leadership alterations in recent months. Brian Mattingley stepped down as Chairman of the FTSE 250 gambling technology group at the beginning of 2025. He had taken the role in a period of transition, with the company now looking for a replacement.

Samy Reeb is the new Chair of the Remuneration Committee, while the Regulatory & Compliance and Sustainability Committees also recently merged.

Why Playtech is a major player in the bingo industry

Playtech launched Big Money Live in February, an omnichannel bingo game in the UK. It combines land-based and online gaming across Buzz Bingo clubs, offering prize pools of up to £100,000. Speaking on the extension of the partnership, Buzz Bingo’s Chief Product Officer, Dave Evans, had this to say:

“We’re delighted to be working with our longstanding partner Playtech’s ECM Systems to bring these brand-new tablets to our bingo venues. This investment is all about improving the experience for our players with faster, more responsive hardware using the latest software.

Seeing the touchpads being prepared at ECM’s workshop in Hull was a fantastic moment and we believe this will continue to enhance our customers’ experience significantly. This brand-new hardware will really power up our omnichannel games. What an exciting start to 2025!”

Playtech is a bingo provider for 19 operators, including Paddy Power, William Hill, and Sun Bingo. This helps to give them the largest liquidity bingo network in the world. Playtech has a 40% share of the bingo market in the UK, which is the biggest in Europe. Games include Age of the Gods, based on the popular online slot, as well as multiple TV-branded titles.
