Black Ops 6 has been one of the more successful Call of Duty titles as of late thanks to its impressive campaign, varied multiplayer, and the reintroduction of round based Zombies.
In part, the number of players has skyrocketed thanks to the Microsoft acquisition of Activision, making the game available on Game Pass for ‘free’ but now, anyone can try Black Ops 6 completely free of charge for a limited time.
Here, we’ll explain everything you need to know about this Black Ops 6 free trial so you know the dates it is live for and what content you can get stuck into.
Black Ops 6 free trial datesWhile you might have thought the Black Ops 6 free trial would have been a small weekend window, you’ll actually be able to play for a full seven days during Season One Reloaded.
This free trial starts December 13 and concludes on December 20, 2024, giving you a flavor of the game ahead of the Holiday period.
If you’ve been on the fence as to whether to pick up the game or secure a few months of Game Pass to play it, this is ideal.
Then, if you get any cash-related presents during the Holidays, you can put it toward Black Ops 6, if you enjoyed the free trial that is.
What content is in the Black Ops 6 free trial? There are two main areas of Black Ops 6 that will be available in the free trial – Multiplayer and Zombies.
There is no Campaign access but this is to be expected since it doesn’t really make sense to either provide the full Campaign for a free trial or part of it, giving you an incomplete experience.
Looking at Multiplayer first, you’ll be able to get stuck into five different core modes: Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Kill Order, as well as the always fun Prop Hunt that was made available during Season One.
As for what maps, you’ll be able to play these on, you’ll have six total including Racket, Hacienda, Extraction, Hideout, Heirloom, and even Nuketown Holiday, the snowy variant of the fan-favorite arena.
Moving to Zombies, you can experience both launch maps for the game – Liberty Falls and Terminus, allowing you to slay some undead and chomp down on all the new GobbleGums.
You can play these either using the Standard or new Directed Mode which guides you through the main easter egg quest, limiting the round number for ease.
All in all, there’s a surprising amount of content you can play here and a great way of understanding any new mechanics, hopefully giving you enough time to make a decision whether you like this year’s Call of Duty or not!
