Your Pixel might still think it’s Tuesday

Your Pixel might still think it’s Tuesday

Pixel owners, your weather widget might be stuck in a time warp, displaying forecasts from hours ago. The issue, affecting lock screens and the At a Glance widget, appears to stem from a server-side glitch impacting all Pixel models.

Reports of outdated weather data have surfaced across Google’s support forums and Reddit over the last few days. Users report the location is correct, but the temperature and conditions are not current. One Pixel user, RKirk, noted the forecast is “out of sync,” showing yesterday’s data as today’s forecast.

The problem has persisted for approximately 5–6 days, with some users also experiencing it in the At a Glance widget. The bug seemingly appeared around the time Google introduced a floating action button to the Pixel’s Weather app.

The issue spans multiple Android versions, from 13 to 15, and affects various Pixel models, including older devices like the Pixel 7 and newer ones such as the Pixel 9.

As the root cause is a server-side issue, users can only wait for Google to implement a fix or temporarily use an alternative weather app. After a while, Google has confirmed a fix is being rolled out for the weather bug as of April 2, 2025, at 12:26 EST. A Google spokesperson told Android Police, “We’re currently rolling out a fix for an issue causing outdated weather forecasts on the At a Glance widget for some Pixel users.”
