VivaTech 2025 returns to Paris with focus on AI, geopolitics and sustainability

Europe’s largest startup and tech event, VivaTech, returns to Paris for its 9th edition from June 11-14, 2025.

The event anticipates over 4,000 partners and 300 world-class innovations as thought leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and key industry players converge to explore technology’s impact on business, geopolitics, and society.

Key focus areas for VivaTech 2025 include:

  • Technology: Discussions will center on AI, quantum computing, blockchain, and related disruptive technologies. A new innovation prize will spotlight promising startups.
  • Business: Over 30 sectors will showcase AI applications, including Space Tech, Travel Tech, and Retail.
  • Geopolitics: New participating countries include the United States, Poland, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, El Salvador, and Nigeria. Canada is the “Country of the Year” and will feature 100 leading AI startups.
  • Responsibility: VivaTech emphasizes sustainable and ethical tech through the Impact Bridge (partnered with EDF) and the “Tech for Change” prize (with Axionable) for social and environmental innovations.

With 85% of companies planning increased AI investments in 2025, VivaTech will highlight advancements in robotics, combating disinformation, and environmental protection, featuring startups like Unitree (China), Trusting Pixels (Canada), and Ocean Eyes (Japan).

Covering music, cinema, fashion, and gaming, VivaTech 2025 will host the Runway’s AI Festival and an immersive show in partnership with Live Nation.

VivaTech will showcase health and well-being innovations, from AI for mental health (Emobot) to algorithms for drug discovery (Aqemia).

International leaders slated to speak include Joe TSAI (Alibaba Group), Vanessa WYCHE (NASA), Alain ASPECT (CNRS/Pasqal), Zak BROWN (McLaren Racing), Paul HUDSON (Sanofi), Yann LECUN (Meta), and Arthur MENSCH (Mistral AI).
