The Verge’s Guide to Amazon’s October Prime Day Event 2025

The lead-up to Black Friday happens earlier each year, and nothing illustrates that trend more than the return of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days. For 2025, the two-day event starts Tuesday, October 7th at 3AM ET / 12AM PT, delivering stellar deals for Prime members through Thursday, October 9th at the same time. Yeah, it seems like July’s four-day Prime Day just happened, but we’re just happy that it’s just a two-day sale this time.
Hopefully, that’ll be enough time for you to get started on early holiday shopping. We expect the early October Prime Day deals to mostly include Amazon-designed products, from Kindles and Fire TV streaming gadgets (as well as its TVs) to smart speakers. Once the event officially begins, it’ll be a who’s who of deals, featuring noise-canceling headphones, ereaders, laptops, gaming gear, and plenty of other Verge-approved products that are exclusive to Prime members.
