The creator of Stardew Valley, Eric Barone (also known by his handle @ConcernedApe), has revealed that he has been trying to collaborate with Fortnite.
Stardew Valley remains a fan favorite even eight years on from its release. The popular farming simulator surpassed 30 million copies sold earlier this year.
Fortnite is one of the most played games in the world at the moment, a multiplayer with millions of users and collabs galore. James Bond, Fall Guys, even BMWs have appeared in the game – and that’s just this month.
Stardew Valley is no stranger to crossovers either – a recent mod brought the world and characters of Baldur’s Gate to the valley.
What could a potential Stardew Valley x Fortnite collab include?Barone opened up about his wishes for a crossover on Discord when speaking to user Panedwards.
When asked if he would be willing to do a Fortnite collab, he replied “I’ve been trying to.”
“I want Pam in Fortnite. I’m open to doing a collab,” he continued. “It doesn’t have to be Pam though I would be open to anything. Abigail and Sebastian could be good. Stardrop or Joja Cola item? Galaxy sword or slingshot?”

Pam is Stardew’s resident grouchy bus driver. Barone later clarified in a statement to IGN that he sometimes plays Fortnite with his Stardew team and that it “kind of became a meme” to joke about a Pam skin in the game.
“It was just a silly fun idea,” he continued. “There’s nothing official in the works or anything like that, but yea we would find it amusing and fun if we were able to play as Pam (or any other Stardew character, really) someday.”
The other characters Barone mentioned, Abigail and Sebastian, are two of the game’s 12 possible love interests. Stardrop is a special item that increases the player’s maximum energy, while Joja Cola is a piece of trash that can be caught when fishing.
