Sling Media announced a new SlingPlayer channel for Roku streaming devices on Monday. This means you can enjoy live or recorded TV via a Slingbox on a Roku streaming player.
The result is similar to the TiVo Stream and TiVo Mini products, in that it lets you access content and remotely control a TV set and DVR from another location.

Sling wrote in a blog post that this is useful for those with vacation homes without cable or access to local channels, for college students and for rooms without their own cable or satellite receivers. Read more...
