Is Reddit down? The self-styled front page of the internet is having major issues
It seems the internet mega site Reddit has been undergoing something of a meltdown over the last hour or so. with issues ranging from links not clicking on the mobile app to pages not loading and users being greeted with an error message saying, “upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure.”
This message is all that appears on a black screen, nothing is attempted to render, no logos or formatting so it looks as though that could indicate a serious issue at Reddit’s end.
A quick check of DownDectector shows Reddit is struggling big time with the issue which seems to have first reared its head about an hour ago.
Reddit has confirmed on its X account that there is an issue marked as “degraded performance for reddit.com”. It then followed up with a further post that simply read, “Yes. We’re working on it..”
So as yet, there is no indication as to what is causing the problem or how long it is expected to be before it comes back up for everybody. Hopefully, it will not be too long before they get everything sorted out and we can go back to complaining about Stalker 2’s performance on its subreddit.

Reddit, which hasn’t been popular with a lot of users of late due to various policy changes is catching shade in the comments as you might expect, with some beauties such as:
“Reddit’s down again? Shocking. Maybe if they spent less time price-gouging developers and ruining third-party apps, and more time upgrading their potato-powered servers, we wouldn’t have to endure this weekly circus. ‘We’re working on it’—yeah, sure, right after nap time”
“Hopefully someone rm -rf the whole database so the brainrot that is Reddit is deleted forever.
“You people are among the biggest assholes on the planet throughout all of human history.”
