Another eight fighting games from Street Fighter publisher Capcom are coming to Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and PlayStation 4 next year with Capcom Fighting Collection 2, Nintendo announced Nintendo announced during Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct showcase. Additionally, Capcom announced that its Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, will launch in September.

The Marvel vs. Capcom anthology was first revealed during June’s Nintendo Direct. Its release date is Sept. 12, and it will likewise launch on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC via Steam. A physical version will be available at retail on Nov. 22.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics includes X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. All of these are fighting games launched in arcades between 1994 and 2000. They’ll be joined by 1993’s The Punisher, a side-scrolling beat-em-up adaptation of Marvel Comics vigilante character.

What’s in Capcom Fighting Collection 2?

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 follows 2022’s Capcom Fighting Collection, which was anchored by all five games in the Darkstalkers series. For the sequel, Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000, and Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 headline a slate of eight titles.

The others are Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Project Justice, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, and Plasma Sword: Night Mare of Bilstein. A news release from Capcom said all games will support online multiplayer as well as a training mode so players can get reacquainted with a character’s moveset before hitting the mat.

The collection will also include galleries of concept art, design documents, soundtracks and other in-game music, some of it “never-before-seen,” Capcom said. Capcom Fighting Collection 2’s projected launch date is sometime in 2025, also for Nintendo Switch, Windows PC via Steam, and PlayStation 4.
