Here at Readwrite Gaming, we have had our beady eye on Neon Blood for quite a while now so the news is welcome that it will finally hit the shelves – digital and physical on 26th November to give us something to play as the dark nights arrive.
The game is a neo-noir Cyberpunk graphic adventure / RPG that uses 3D-modeled environments to house its 2D pixelated sprites, giving it somewhat of a unique look.
You play as detective Axel McCoin as you have to get through a series of puzzles and turn-based combat that all lend Neon Blood an old-school feel with a new-school setting.
McCoin is an idealistic chap and his ideals of rebelling against the social injustice in this post-Third World War society will be put to the test as he attempts to fix up the differences between the two cities in the game – Bright City and Blind City but forget all of that, as you can see in the trailer above, it looks cool.
Created by Madrid-based ChaoticBrain Studios, a small team with a love for Cyberpunk but also JRPGs like Octopath Traveller and Final Fantasy, it all makes for a unique mix that we are looking forward to finally playing soon.
Neon Blood Main FeaturesNeon Blood is available to pre-order now on all digital platforms but will also have a physical release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. This physical version will have a metallic textured sleeve, an art book, and a city guide as well as a downloadable version of the soundtrack.
