Yes, you need an Amazon Prime subscription to take advantage of designated Amazon Prime Day deals. You can still purchase the items without that subscription, but you won’t get the best deal pricing.
After all, Amazon Prime Day is to a large extent a means for Amazon to sell more subscriptions, which cost $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Besides deal pricing and faster shipping, a membership confers access to Prime Video streaming content and special deals when you shop at Whole Foods.
