Anthropic will double Claude usage limits during off-peak hours from March 13 to March 27.
The promotion targets Free, Pro, Max, and Team plan subscribers as the AI company seeks to capitalize on recent user growth. Off-peak hours are defined as outside weekday hours between 8 AM and 2 PM ET. The company said the promotion is automatic and requires no user action to activate.
The doubled limits apply to Claude on web, desktop, mobile, Cowork, Claude Code, Claude for Excel, and Claude for PowerPoint. Enterprise users are the only subscriber tier excluded from the offer.

Anthropic ran a similar promotion from December 25 to December 31, which doubled limits for Pro, Max 5x, and Max 20x subscribers. The current promotion expands eligibility to a broader user base.
The company described the offer as “a small thank you to everyone using Claude.” The timing follows Anthropic’s removal from a Department of Defense contract after it refused to remove certain AI safeguards. OpenAI subsequently secured a deal with the Department of Defense, prompting some users to abandon ChatGPT for alternatives including Claude.
Anthropic develops Claude, a large language model competing with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and other generative AI tools. The company has positioned itself as a safety-focused alternative in the generative AI market.
