Who are the favorites for the F1 season-opening Australian Grand Prix?

Formula 1 is back with the season kicking off at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne this weekend (March 15 – 16).

The driver line-up this time around includes six rookies vying to impress, along with some experienced drivers having joined a new team including the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton who is dressed in red.

Qualifying on Saturday will give viewers the first opportunity to fully see how the new cars perform and how the drivers handle the pressure of the first race back.

There have been rumors that the McLaren is speedy, but the full pace of all cars hasn’t yet been seen.

While there has been a shake-up on the grid, this is also the first time Australia has hosted the season-opener since 2019.
