Subic Sun casino resort to partner with Iveda for AI surveillance
Subic Sun Resort will open with full implementation of security technology, provided by Iveda, a leading company in the AI-focused video surveillance sector.
The large-scale resort will be home to a high-end casino, two Accor brand hotels – Ibis Styles and Mercure, a modern convention center, and more amenities.
Scheduled to open in December this year, Subic Sun is set to become a major destination for the Philippines. The resort is located on the former US naval base in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, which is already surrounded by many local and international enterprises.
“Iveda being selected as a premier security and surveillance provider before the first Subic Sun Resort guest ever checks in is a powerful endorsement of our commitment to providing state-of-the-art monitoring technology,” stated David Ly, CEO and founder of Iveda.
He continued, “By designing camera layouts around IvedaAI’s real-time analytics, Subic Sun can optimise coverage, reduce blind spots and deliver safer, smoother guest experiences – without a costly equipment overhaul. We expect more ground-up projects to follow this blueprint.”
Additional joint venture launchedSubic Sun is the first Philippines venture for the Arizona-based firm, which has directly led to a joint project between the partners. Iveda Philippines will aim to replace the smart-city solutions elsewhere throughout the country.
In addition to the facilities listed above, the six-hectare property will also host various duty-free shopping offerings, an Americana complex, a seaside clubhouse, and an American country club
Eduardo Jose Alino, Chairman of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, is optimistic about the prospects of the new development and how it can enhance Freeport’s productivity and performance.
He said, “We are all excited to see the realization of a magnificent architectural concept, which I am certain will steer the economic growth of the freeport to greater heights.”
