NVIDIA released the full version of DLSS 4.5 to all GeForce RTX GPU users via the NVIDIA app one week after announcing it at CES and issuing a beta.
DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution provides sharper visuals and enhanced temporal stability. Its second-generation Super Resolution Transformer minimizes ghosting and advances anti-aliasing across more than 400 games and applications.
This transformer model employs five times the compute power of the original and underwent training on a substantially larger high-fidelity dataset. NVIDIA stated, “This second-generation model is our most sophisticated yet, utilizing five times the compute power of the original transformer model, having been trained on a significantly expanded, high-fidelity dataset.”
NVIDIA will introduce an upgraded frame generation capability to DLSS 4.5 during spring for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. The Dynamic 6× Frame Generation produces up to five additional frames for each conventionally rendered frame, achieving up to 4K 240 Hz path-traced performance.
