Leaks reveal Nintendo Switch 2 consoles are being sold through the Chinese black market at extremely inflated prices.
The hype hasn’t died down since the new hand held console was revealed, and fans are eager to get their hands on the handheld console before launch. The only question is… how eager?
A user on the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit made a post about a leaker’s conversation with a black-market dealer on the Chinese social media app Xiaohongshu.
In the post, the seller claims to have the highly anticipated console on hand. The leaker was being sold a Switch 2 dock for $8000, alongside joy-cons and console for $32,00, totaling $40,000.

The post suggests that the seller was targeting the console to accessory manufacturers, targeting companies that want to get ahead of the curve before its rumored official launch.
While we know of the specs surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2, there is still a lot of mystery surrounding the console’s features, such as case size.
This should all be taken with skepticism because there is a lack of evidence to suggest that this is a legitimate seller and not a blatant scam.
The official price of the console has yet to be revealed, though we’re fairly confident it won’t be nearly as expensive as $40,000, whether the tariffs affect it or not.
