Online sportsbook Bovada is eyeing up the Los Angeles Lakers as the favorites to sign Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo.
As rumors ramp up about a possible departure from the Heat from Bam Adebayo, Bovada has given the Lakers the best odds for landing the all-star player. A simple Instagram post from the player appears to fan the flames of speculation, with Adebayo taking to Instagram with a cryptic post captioned simply: ‘Outside’.
One commenter wrote: “Just come hoop with Bron.. we gone appreciate you over here.” If the latest odds are to be believed, a move to the Lakers could be on the cards.

How likely is a move from Bam Adebayo?Of course, odds aren’t everything – but Adebayo himself did say towards the end of April that changes were in store, in a post-match interview.
“It’s gonna be a lot of changes this summer, just from my point of view, understanding how the guy with the silver hair works. So, just be prepared for that,” Adebayo said back in April 28.
“And for me, man, it’s understanding, gotta figure out how to win a game in the playoffs. You understand how hard it is when you actually get into these trenches. So, you take that and you figure it out.”
‘Guy with the silver hair’ refers to Pat Riley, President of Miami Heat. While Adebayo referring to needing to adapt to changes from Riley implies a future of the team, could that mean a change as big as leaving the team?
The Heat’s star player is currently slated for a $37 million salary for the 2025-26 season, which isn’t out of the realms of possibility for the Lakers to pick up. However, Adebayo signed a contract extension in 2024 that will begin at the start of the 2026-27 season, running until 2028-29.
That doesn’t mean a change isn’t possible but it does mean that the Lakers, or any team, would be smarter to trade for him throughout this period.
