Sports betting in Missouri is officially legal from today, December 1, with it launching from 12:00am for the very first time.

The introduction of this form of gambling in the Show-Me State means residents and visitors can wager on sports, with some top operators already making their presence known.

Fanatics Sportsbook, for example, has launched a new customer offer, along with a three-day FanCash Drop event. The operator will also host a grand opening ceremony at Ameristar Kansas City casino and Ameristar St. Charles casino.

FanDuel has launched a welcome offer too, as have a range of other operators. Alongside offers, DraftKings is another operator to host a physical event as they’ll be at The Palladium in St. Louis alongside former athletes from the state.

This marks the 39th state to allow for legal wagering, following the 2018 Supreme Court decision that legalized the industry. The Missouri Gaming Commission, however, had a quick turnaround to get applicants approved ahead of the go-live date.

For those who wanted to be able to offer sports wagering from the launch date, the completed applications had to be in by September 12 and house rules and internal controls had to be submitted to the commission by the end of September.

In a previously published notice on the local gaming commission website, it states that operators with temporary licenses, who have completed the requirements for internal controls and house rules, may begin live wagering from December 1.
