Japan FSA Clears JPYC, First Yen-Pegged Stablecoin for Fall Launch

Japan’s Financial Services Agency will register Tokyo-based fintech company JPYC Inc. as a money-transfer business later this month, clearing the way for the country’s first yen-denominated stablecoin.
