One way in which you can do this is by picking locks on chests to secure some extra loot but you will need a significant amount of lockpicks to get the job done.

Here, we’ll explore how to get lockpicks in Avowed so you can fill your inventory with enough to open whatever chests you like.

When lockpicking in Avowed, you don’t just spend one pick and enter a little minigame where succeeding means whatever you’re trying to crack opens.

Instead, you just need the correct number of lockpicks in order to access the goods, so having a bunch on your person is vital, otherwise you’re going to be left wanting.

You can find lockpicks simply out in The Living Lands or on the bodies of some enemies that you defeat, which is nice to stumble across some as you’re playing, but it isn’t a guarantee.

The only concrete way of securing some lockpicks is by visiting various vendors around the in-game world who will sell them to you if you’re willing to cough up the coin.

Luckily, there are a bunch of vendors you can use for this including the early sellers such as Lynna — who is near the Clavinger’s Landing docks, and the Shantytown Merchant in Paradis Shantytown.

As a little cheesy trick, vendors do restock what they have after a certain amount of time but you can manipulate this by entering and leaving your camp five times, which removes any time gating for this and lockpicks will be ready to purchase again.

This way, you can ensure you have a boatload of lockpicks to use whenever you like instead of finding yourself short when you need them the most.
