Hasbro announces four partnerships as it ramps up gambling ambitions

Hasbro has announced that it’s dipping further into the gambling industry. Monopoly Casino has existed for several years now, leveraging the iconic brand for its iGaming plans. Now, it intends to break into the casino industry proper, as it has partnered with four different companies.

Breaking it down, Hasbro is now partnering with the following:

• Evolution: This company will provide online live casino and slot games under the licensing agreement
• Galaxy Gaming: This company will be working on casino table games themed around Hasbro’s properties
• Bally’s: The toymaker’s business-to-consumer (B2C) casino operator
• Aristocrat Gaming: Working on Monopoly slot games for use in physical casinos

Galaxy Gaming will also be working on Monopoly, Yahtzee, and Battleship games. Evolution has been designated “Hasbro Games”, alongside Monopoly, while the other two will solely focus on the Monopoly license. It’s expected that Evolution will show off its work next January at ICE Barcelona.

Speaking in the press release, Hasbro’s Director of Gaming Relationships, Claire Hunter Gregson, said:

“We’re all about play—and that means meeting our fans wherever they are, from the game table to the casino floor.

“These visionary new partners have the expertise and imagination to reimagine our brands in bold, exciting ways for adult audiences.”

Hasbro’s decision to break into this market goes along with a lot of what’s happening behind the scenes. Looking at how it’s managing Wizards of the Coast, makers of Magic: The Gathering and stewards of Dungeons & Dragons, it has been pushing for exponential growth.

Part of this plan has to increase the sheer number of products launched for its two tabletop games. Magic has recently seen massive success with its Las Vegas event, despite fan complaints, and has seen huge wins with its Final Fantasy, Marvel, and Lord of the Rings crossovers.

Early in 2025, fans of D&D caught wind that Hasbro was offering the property to gambling company Games Global. It launched at the top of the year, with D&D: Tales of Riches, a slot game available on supported platforms. Fan reaction to this was not great, as to be expected, with some on The RPG Site forums calling it “Pathetic”.
