Entertainment brand Hard Rock Bet has launched a new venture with Island Resort and Casino in Michigan.
The partnership marks the 10th state where the brand has offered its online sportsbook, and the resort will also feature a physical casino in collaboration with the Hannahville Indian Community.
Hard Rock Bet in MichiganThe Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) approved Hard Rock Bet after the existing licensed provider, 888 VHL, left the state.
The brand will be officially represented as Seminole Hard Rock Digital, LLC, to serve as the new Tribal representative to operate in the Great Lakes State.

MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams said of the partnership with the Tribal representatives, “We look forward to seeing the Hannahville Indian Community and Hard Rock provide a safe, responsible, and enjoyable wagering experience for players across the state — and especially for those served by one of Michigan’s long-standing tribal gaming operators in the Upper Peninsula.”
Michigan’s 15th casino locationThe new Hard Rock Bet environment marks the 15th officially licensed premise in Michigan, the maximum number of providers approved under the state’s laws.
Marlon Goldstein, Executive Managing Director-CEO of Hard Rock Digital, said, “Our launch in Michigan builds on our momentum as we bring the legendary Hard Rock experience to more fans across the country, offering a trusted online casino and sportsbook on our top-rated and easy-to-use platform.”
Hard Rock will promote the brand’s maiden voyage into this crowded market across all platforms and traditional media.
Michigan residents will be seeing the adverts for the betting name’s introductory offer of “$1,000 back in Casino Bonus plus 200 Bonus Spins on Huff N’ More Puff, while sportsbook players can bet $5 and get $150 in Bonus Bets if their first bet wins,” said the release.
There will be stiff competition in the state, as we reported that the MGCB renewed three existing licenses: the MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown.
Executive Director of the MGCB, Henry Williams, said of the renewals, “Detroit’s commercial casinos are not only entertainment destinations but also major contributors to the city and state economies.”
