Sean Levey, a Group 1-winning jockey, has been signed by Ladbrokes as the gambling company’s new racing ambassador. The jockey will provide Ladbrokes with content on “all the major race meetings” in the season. This includes blogs, video, and written content.
Speaking in the press release, Sean Levey said:
“I’m really thrilled to be working with Ladbrokes in what promises to be another exciting season for me.
“I have some top-class racehorses to ride this term, so hopefully Ladbrokes customers will be able to cheer me on to some big race success this year.”
Originally from Eswatini/Swaziland, Levey has worked his way up the circuits in horse racing to win multiple times.
Adding to the announcement, Ladbrokes PR representative, Alex Apati, said:
“Sean is an amazing jockey and we can’t wait to see what the Flat season has in store for him. We look forward to him giving racing fans the inside track on his rides and his life as a jockey throughout the season.”
Levey adds racing insights to Ladbrokes’ blogThe first blog is now live, wherein Levey gives his insights into his past races in different environments and his love of horses. In it, he talks about Rosallion, a horse which he rode into winning two Group Ones last year and “another with him the year before.” Levey claims that this is the best horse he has “at the moment”.
He also adds that it’d be interesting to see a documentary made about his particular style of racing. In the blog, he said:
“There are so many characters in racing, both in terms of jockeys and trainers.
“You know, without even concentrating on the usual names, there are so many funny characters around… There’s a great variety of interesting characters.”
Levey joins Dan Skelton, a leading racehorse trainer, as part of Ladbrokes’ ambassador program.
