We are still a few weeks away from Season 2 of Fortnite’s Chapter 6 but that now means it is prime time for leakers to start finding out what we will be getting when it eventually arrives.
When it comes to Fortnite there are a few big-time leakers such as HyperX and Shiina, and this time Hype X has suggested that the ripsaw launcher is going to play a more prominent part in the upcoming events saying in a post on their X account, “FIRST SEASON 2 LEAK: Fortnite seems to be working on a new gameplay feature for CH6S2 that is similar to (or involves) Chainsaw / Ripsaw Launchers.”
While this is being billed as the first leak for the new season the initial information was discovered as far back as November last year when Blortzen found a new plugin referred to in the data called SpikyBird.
A further dig more recently led Blortzen to say similar to HypeX on their own account.
So everything is a little vague as to what’s going on here, but it’s pretty certain that further leaks will ramp up in the coming days and weeks until the new Season is upon us.

When is Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2?Although Epic Games has not yet confirmed the time and date exactly, using our sleuthing skills we can work out that the 21st of February is when the next season will start. This is when Season 1 ends and following a tried and tested pattern over the year, downtime between seasons is normally a few hours unless anything goes dramatically wrong.
That means, if you are looking to get the Battle Pass for Season 2 for “free”, you will need to subscribe to Fortnite Crew at the start of February and then cancel if you don’t want to continue paying into March and beyond.
