Crime does not pay, especially on the highways when you are in town – new police sim from Aerosoft incoming

Whether you are able to relate to this tale or not is going to largely depend on your age, but growing up, Long before the days of 1000s of channel TV, Sunday afternoons used to be taken up between homework and watching American cop shows such as CHiPs – the weekly tale of two California Highway Patrolmen (Baker and Puncherello in case you were wondering). Like all those cheesy late 70’s mid-80s TV shows, they were the exact kind of fodder that kids used to pretend to be when out playing.

So, more excited perhaps than many, I give you Aerosoft’s upcoming Highway Police Simulator. The game I have been waiting for since the days of Knight Rider and the A-Team.

Aerosoft is busy in several different spheres at the moment including releasing a wheel and gears set of peripherals for trucking sims that we covered the other day. Also with the impending arrival of Flight Simulator 2024 its mainline business of add-ons for that will be about to go through the roof.

Me, I am more interested in Highway Police Simulator. I can’t actually remember any of the crimes the boys had to stop back in the day, but here are a few of the features on offer here.

• Investigate Accidents and Crimes: Gather clues, interview witnesses, and analyze evidence to crack complex cases.
• Drive & pilot authentic vehicles, including high-performance police cruisers, helicopters, motorcycles and more. Unlock new tools and vehicles to aid you in your quest for justice.
• Story-driven Gameplay: Solve exciting criminal cases that require you to make critical decisions.

• Investigate accident scenes, talk to the people involved, document the accident, collect evidence, and draw conclusions by interpreting all the information you have gathered so far.
• Inspect vehicles at traffic stops and ensure safe roads for citizens.Chase down criminals through traffic chaos in thrilling pursuits and test your skills as you navigate the streets in dynamic car chases.Choose to approach situations in a strategic way — do you act calmly and cautiously or take a more action-oriented role in the situation

The game also has a Morality System that allows you to be a good cop or a bad cop – hmm, I wonder which path most people will choose.

Highway Police Simulator launches on 5th December on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
