Caesars Palace murder victim’s parents sue famous Las Vegas casino

DATE POSTED:April 7, 2025

In May 2023, Bryan Angel Altamirano-Solano was gunned down at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Two women were arrested, and now the family is suing Caesars Palace for negligence and wrongful death.

The parents of Altamirano-Solano are seeking damages after they claim Caesars Palace didn’t enforce its own safeguarding policies. This included escorting suspected sex workers off the premises if discovered, which the suit claims that the business never reported or recorded interactions with them “contrary to its own policies and procedures.”

Erika Covington and Arionna Taylor were seen leaving the room half an hour after entering, holding a brown bag. The suit alleges that Caesars Palace had not provided the proper training or hired the right people for security in the casino. This includes allowing two underage individuals with a gun to enter and use the property.

Caesers Palace murderers get 10 to 25 years

Both Covington and Taylor pled guilty to the killing earlier this year, with a 10 to 25-year sentence slapped on the pair. They were discovered not only through the CCTV footage, but also a shell casing from the gun, which was linked to a previous domestic case that Taylor was connected to.

However, they have spent months behind bars as they refused to provide information to law enforcement.

No information on who pulled the trigger has been revealed, and both women were prosecuted at the same time for the one murder under Nevada law.

Speaking in court, Altamirano-Solano’s father said:

“It wasn’t enough for them to just take his belongings; they had to kill him.”

His mother added:

“I felt like I had just lost my life. I had so many questions. Why? Why my son?”

Lawyers representing the case, Joshua Berrett and David Finegold, have said that Caesars should pay for not only damages for grief, loss of companionship and support, but also pay for any lingering funeral costs.
