The British-based Rank Group has reported a positive trajectory in its Q3 24/25 trading update, with its Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) having grown by 10.9% to £195.6M.

The year to date NGR is up 12.2% on prior year too, with the digital portion of the brand being the strongest.

Rank Group has several businesses, including Grosevenor Casinos venues, Mecca venues, Enracha venues, and its digital arm, which includes brands like: Grosevenor Casinos, Mecca Bingo, YoCasino, MagicalVegas, KittyBingo, BellaCasino,RegalWins, and LuckyPantsBingo.

The digital like-for-like NGR growth was strong, growing by 18.3%. The stand-out contributor to the performance was the Grosvenor brand which was up 43.2%.

In Spain, the NGR was 2.9% lower than the previous year, but the company states it expects “the developments we are making to the platform and customer proposition to return to its growth in H1 2025/6.”

Rank Group’s digital arm saw significant growth

As for the Grosvenor venues, these saw strong performance too as its like-for-like NGR grew by 13.0%. Table gaming saw a rise of 14.5%, along with electronic roulette at 9.5%.

The Mecca venues also saw an increase, albeit a much smaller one, at 1.9% like-for-like NGR in the period. Customer visits were down 1.8% on prior year, but spend per visit increased by 3.8%. The year to date growth is 4.8%.

As for the Enracha venues, these saw like-for-like NGR growth increase by 4.1% and year-to-date growth of 5.9%.

The chief executive, John O’Reilly, has commented on the report: “Since announcing our interim results in January, we have continued to deliver strong growth and expect to deliver Group like-for-like operating profit for the full year in line with expectations.

“This is notwithstanding the uncertain economic environment and the significant cost and regulatory headwinds that we face from the start of Q4 (1 April 2025).

“We expect the Government to publish the statutory instruments for land-based casino reforms in the coming weeks and anticipate the roll out of additional machines and sports betting to commence during the summer.

“A big thank you to my colleagues across the Rank Group for their continued commitment to enhancing the experience for our customers.”

The company will announce its preliminary results for the 12 months ending in June in mid-August.
